Genelia Shines in a Deeply Emotional Role in Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par

Genelia Deshmukh is set to grace the silver screen once again in the upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par, alongside Aamir Khan. Directed by R.S. Prasanna, this Hindi-language sports comedy-drama is an official remake of the acclaimed 2018 Spanish film Champions (Campeones) and is scheduled for release on June 20, 2025. 

In Sitaare Zameen Par, Aamir Khan portrays a once-renowned basketball coach whose life takes a downturn due to legal issues and irresponsible behavior. As part of his court-mandated sentence, he is assigned to coach a group of individuals on the autism spectrum. 

Genelia Deshmukh plays a pivotal role in this narrative. While specific details about her character have been kept under wraps, Genelia has described her role as "deeply human," indicating a character with strong emotional and relatable aspects. She expressed that working with Aamir Khan on this project feels "incredibly special."
